THE ISLANDER
You're Weekly Access to All Things Team Shipway
(7/22/12-7/29/12)

Name of the Week: Chonway "John Wayne" Tram
Chonway Tram was a contestant on Wipeout who's dad was a big fan of Western Legend John Wayne. When he said John Wayne it came out "Chonway" which earns him the designation of Name of the Week.

Honorable Mentions:
Ving Rhames - Actor
Mavis Malbunka - Wildlife Photographer
Taco Stein - (Jewish?) Governor General of Aruba

And You Thought You Were Having a Bad Day:
A 25' sailboat is attached to a mooring made for multiple boats. It has a bowline around it's cleat and to the pennant. A 40' sailboat ties up with a bow and stern line but no spring line to the 25' boat. Both boats are now attached by a line suitable for the 25' boat. Then a third 40' boat comes and ties up to the 40' boat. Now 105' of boat are attached to a line looped around a cleat of the 25' boat. The boat island swings and the line falls off the cleat and half a million dollars worth of boat drifts towards the docks...

harbormaster to the rescue!

We fell asleep and woke up to the cats chasing a raccoon around in a circle around the house. He had gotten in through the cat door and ripped bags of flour. He left the way he came.
